Afro-cinema Night
The African student association hosts it's first ever Afro-Cinema night at the university.
To bring together the African and non-African community at the University of Saskatchewan we decided to host a movie night where we played a movie that was African based and directed by an African. The movie we on this night was the Royal Hibiscus Hotel, a Nigerian movie produced by directed by an African. The main goal of this event was for the attendees to have the opportunity to see the talents that Africa has and to demystify some of the images that have surrounded the continent for a long time. This night attracted over 40+ people from different cultures and background
